Last week Jan 30- Feb 3 Kaia got to be VIP for the week at school. This is a big thing to them. She was so excited. They get to be the special helper and do fun things during the week. On Monday we brought her poster about her.

What a week

On Tuesday the 24th I got a really bad sore throught. I went to the doctors and they said it was viral. So I toughed it out. Well on Wednesday I couldn't get out of bed I was so sick Adam stayed home from work to take care of everything and did a great job. Well Adam looked at my throught and it had turned into strep. My throught was swollen to the point that there was only a pea size opening. We called the doctor and she called in a prescription. So 24 hour later I started feeling human again. Just in time to go to LA to see all of Adams Family. We were there Friday the 27th to Sunday the 29th

The kids had so much fun with Tori's dress up clothes good thing Ryder had his Batman jammies so he could dress up too.

Adam decided on his day off to make some homemade bread. And he did a good job at it.

The kids have loved playing outside on there new playground. Well while they were out there it started to lightly rain and they all excitedly ran into the house to get there umbrellas.

Avenley Charlyn Scott

On Jan 10th at 9:46pm this beautiful little angel was born Avanley Charlyn Scott. She was
8lbs 4oz and 19 1/2 inches long. The next morning I was able to go to the hospital with Hunter to see her while the other kids were at school

On Thursday after Char and Avanley came home from the hospital we all went over to see her. The Kids where so cute.

All Ryder wanted to do was open his presents so instead of having want to do that the whole time we did it first instead of last. So we ate pizza and then opened gifts.

He got lots of great things. Thanks everyone

We then had turn out races it was great fun.

But of course what is a party without a few tears.

We then had an obstical course first they walked across the balance beam

Then down the ladder

Under the swings

And into the house

Then we did a search and rescue of the house we filled the back rooms with the fog machine. Ryder got to use the radio to radio to the search commander.

And they all carried her out

Then they all got the badges pinned on... They made it through the Ryder Fire Fighter Academy

A Bike! The girls came to me 2 months ago and told me they wanted to get Ryder a bike for his birthday. The were so excited about it and we were already planning on getting him a bike so it didn't really matter who it can from so he was one HAPPY BOY!

Ryder is all about Fire fighters so he will be having a fire fighter party. So we were lucky to be able to meet Adam at the station and take ~~some~~ ALOT of pictures. These are the best and NO I cant get ride of any of them!

At 6 months Hunter is normally a very happy baby. He is teething so sometimes that makes him mad. He is learning who Mommy is and wants me to hold his more then anyone. He loves being able to eat baby food but he doesn't like green beans he gags on them. I think it is funny. He likes to put everything in his mouth and watching he brother and sisters act silly for him.

The King Families Top Ten of 2011
(In no particular order)

- Hunter was born. On June 29th Hunter was born. He has been such a blessing to our family. The older kids are great with him and love to help out. Hunter is growing so fast it's a little hard to take. He is always our happy smiling boy that melts your heart. He is starting to eat real food and sit up on his own. He also likes to roll over and play with his toes.
- The girls started Kindergarten. Sharlee and Kaia turned 5 this summer and started school in August. They both have the same amazing teacher that calls them her go to girls. We are impressed at how fast they are learning . They know all of their letters and sounds, and how to count to 100. They are working on their words. With their practicing, Ryder has started catching on too.
- The older kids started gymnastics. Sharlee, Kaia and Ryder started gymnastics in September and they love it. The girls are catching on quick and making progress. Ryder loves being able to climb, jump and run around. This is right up his alley. He has advanced to the point that he is in the 5 year old class even though he wont be 3 until January.
- Adam finished the fire academy. At the beginning of the year Adam started a fire academy with Rescue, Ca Fire Department. In May he graduated and now he volunteers there 3 times a month. We are all proud of all the hard work that he does.
- River Trip. In May the Langton side of the family all went to the river. It was a great trip full of fun and good times.
- Backyard Redo. Starting in the spring we redid all 3 sides of our fence and cut down an over-sized tree in the backyard. We were also able to do our very first garden the kids had fun planting seeds and watching them grow. They also liked picking the vegetables when they were ready. We have also rotor- tilled the backyard, planted grass and made a play area.
- Family and Friends. This year we were happy that so many of our family and friends could come and visit us. It is so nice to have them around and we truly appreciate their love in our lives.
- Staycation. All throughout this year we have been able to enjoy the many wonderful things around us. We have been to 3 museums, 2 zoos, a couple of hikes, a few parks including some very fun spray parks, San Francisco, the Muirwoods forest and we have gone to the lake a number of times. And we can't forget the many hours that we spent in Grandma and Grandpa's swimming pool.
- Apple Hill. Apple hill is one of our favorite places to go. In the winter we go to play and sled in the snow. This summer we went and picked blueberries. This fall we go and pick yummy juicy apples and come the holidays we go and cut down our tree. Many great memories.
- Our Savior. We are thankful for the gospel in our life that we get to enjoy all year long. And we know what a blessing it is to us. We are thankful for this time of the year when we get to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

The girls had a school party that I was able to go and help with. The did a polar express theme and the kids thought it was great.Then that night we went to my parents and at night the fire fighters do something wonderful. The put santa and his sled on top of one of the fire trucks and then they bring out all the trucks lights a blaze and to a parade around the town. And the "elfs" run along and hand out candy canes. It was great I loved it and yes I got a little teary eyed and the kids loved it.

Our ward did a wonderful Journey back to bethleam night. I set up to of the rooms with Char so my Mom came and watched to kids while we did that. While we were there the kids and her made these. Cute Huh?!

Sarah and the kids came that weekend so they got to go with us. Here are the kids all dressed up to go. Sharlee is Mary, Ryder is Joseph, and Kaia and Briana are angels.

Yesterday we were going to a ward BBQ and
she asked "who's house is it at?"
I responded "it's at the church"
and she said "oh it's at Jesus house"

And that night while reading her book the Berstien Bears go to the doctor it talks about them getting shots and says that it doesn't hurt more then bumping your shin and the girls just got there shots and it was very traumatic so she said...
"it doesn't hurt them because they have fur but if you are like us IT HURTS!"

So a week ago we tried this wonderful blesing outfit that my talented mother did on Hunter and we thought it needed taking in and inch both ways well now it fit great so heres hoping that my little man stays little for the next 2 weeks until his blessing.

On Thursday the kids, mom and Kara and I drove to San Jose and met Tiff and the boys at the zoo park. The kids loved it and they were all tired out after the fun day

We went to San Fran on Friday to go to the Exploratorian. It was a lot of fun. But I DO NOT LIKE DRIVING IN THAT CITY!!!

Tuesday the Carter can into town the kids were so excitied to see Jaycee and Kota. Jaycee that sweet girl sewed the girls pillow cases and bought them tiaras, made Ryder a pillow and Hunter a blanket. We love them all they are so great!

Swimming

Wednesday we started by going to the spray park and even though the sun wasnt shining they wanted to play in the water

The sun came out in time so We could go to the lake took the sea doo out and had a bbq

And you would think they would be done with water but no they went swimming in the pool after dinner.
Thur we went to San Francisco we started by going to the Oakland temple
